Country singer Faith Hill decided to give herself an unconventional gift for her 41st birthday this year: posing in a bikini on the December cover of Shape Magazine.Faith, who is 41 and married with three children looks amazing on the front cover of the December issue of Shape. She puts her new body down to Pilates, "I could bend in ways I haven't been able to since I was a teenager." Faith is married to country singer Tim McGraw and he loves the way she can bend.
After years of on and off exercising, Hill and McGraw have started a daily routine of light weighting lifting, crunches and push ups, plus Faith fits in Pilates three times a week.
What gave her the bravery to take the “bikini plunge” at the ripe ol’ age of 41? Besides the 18 cumulative man-hours of Photo Shop, I mean? Why, Pilates, of course! People magazine quotes her as saying
“[Pilates] was so hard, but ultimately so worth it. My core is much stronger, and my arms are more toned. In fact, wearing a bikini on a magazine cover is my 41st birthday present to myself.
I [can] bend in ways I haven’t been able to since I was a teenager. My husband [Tim McGraw] loves it!”
When she first took up the exercise regimen, she explains, “I could bend in ways I haven’t been able to since I was a teenager.” She then adds, “My husband (Tim McGraw) loves it!
“I was always very athletic, playing basketball and softball and running track. But in my 20s and 30s, I’d go through phases with exercise, working out for four weeks before a big tour or video shoot and not doing much afterward. Then I had three kids and turned 40, so I decided to make a lifestyle change.”
